We hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday with their family and loved ones. We are excited to have our first Christmas with Osby followed closely by his 1st birthday. We are grateful for the family and friendships we have and count them as our true blessings. We look forward to continuing to share our little world with you on the blog. (can't some of you figure out how to make some comments? I know people are reading this blog!) We hope this year brings more than a virtual visit with you and hope to make it up north to see everyone and let everyone meet the big O. All our love to you all and we'll say an extra little prayer for those of you that have lost loved one's this year and will be spending a first Christmas without those they hold so close to their heart.
Merry Christmas,
The Contreras-Holloway's
last night it was just O and I and we goofed around while I figured out the camera.
here is some ham for dinner:
with his new teeth he likes to bite fabric... this also means your clothes. It also means that if your shoulder or arm or leg or chest also get bit... it isn't Osby's fault. ... and he bites hard.
Oh I am having a good time with my walker.. oh what is this.. oh it is my lovie. Well I'll just take a quick little nap break real quick.

we finally broke down and bought a new camera. We figured by giving it to each other for Christmas we could justify buying the camera we wanted. Especially it being O's first Christmas and we are about to take him to Costa Rica etc. Lots of good stuff. Well this camera rocks and now I just have to figure it out more. But these I thought were fun. You can finally see his teeth!
we knew the previous owners of this house and it was a fixer upper for us. But what we loved and what we couldn't find elsewhere was a house that sits on top of a hill overlooking trees with a beautiful view and 3 floor to ceiling windows to enjoy said view. After living in the heart of the city of both Chicago and LA, living in the "city" here in Austin didn't make much sense to us. We wanted to be around the things we missed about Texas. For me, that is beautiful oak trees and the big-sky sunsets and sunrises. This morning was a beautiful sunrise and since we are ALWAYS up early enough to see it.... I thought I would share. Of course the photos don't do it justice as what is so amazing about the Texas sky, is the sunrise is from peripheral to the other. Totally panoramic. It is all you can see.
outside on the porch:
Osby is really about to walk. I didn;t get any video of steps per se as it was later in the evening and O begins to take less risks, but here he is doing some cruising last night.
