So nothing new has happened. Well we did have to get a membership to blockbuster... that is new. Because all of our netflix are out and we have seen everything on pay per view. (that we can force ourselves to watch, that is)
I still don't have a single contraction. We have an appointment today at the doctor. I am sure nothing new will come of it. I think we'll take down the christmas lights today. Ho Hum.
We do have a final date of induction at the hospital... first day available is JANUARY 2ND! Besides being 11 days past due, I really want to have the baby in '07 for insurance deductibles and tax write-offs. I know that is not very ooey-gooey mommy thoughts, but hey folks, it's reality!

So we went to the doctor this morning and NO CHANGE! (Poop. Poop. Poop.)
As was said to us by the PN.... "I have no idea how you can still be pregnant!" The baby is so low and ready. The cervix just isn't dilating. So.... we have an appointment on Sunday morning and Tuesday morning now as I need to be seen every other day to make sure the baby is doing well. Let's hope that I go into labor before then.
90% of women go into labor within 7 days of their due date. "Be prepared to be the other 10%" was also said to us today. (poop)

I can't get an appointment to be induced all week at the hospital as they are booked solid. There is a serious amount of preggo ladies in Austin right now. So.... I have an appointment with my doctor around 2 pm today. We will see what happens at that point. We'll keep you posted.

well here we are. on the actual due date. (Happy Birthday to our friend, Michelle Hewko today.) I have to say I thought I would have the baby before now. Looks like that isn't in the cards as of right now. We hope everyone has a great holiday with their family and friends and we'll let everyone know what happens with us. Love you guys!

Yes, my due date isn't until Saturday, but I am ready. To make matters worse, Troy and I both have a bad sinus infection/colds which should make labor a ton of fun and my right hip joint popped out yesterday. Things are GREAT! I think I feel a long day of laying down coming on. Wish us luck.
So the appointment went great this morning. 2cm dilated and 70% effacement and the baby is super low. Yea! The doctor was guessing I am more than 50% likely to have the baby by Friday. I have an appointment then if I haven't had the baby by then and we'll do stress tests and evaluate what we want to do before the holiday weekend.
Basically he said be ready to have it any day this week. Yea! Looks like our first baby below is about to get a brother. (By the way, she is doing good at 15 years old - her seizures stopped about 6 months ago and she spends her days guarding the house and her mom and keeping the other bad neighborhood kitties away by jumping at the windows and hissing. It is actually pathetic as she is about as threatening as a marshmallow.)
The doctor hasn't said anything but I am so ready. I don't know about actual physical signs like dilation and effacement (which we will find out tomorrow). But after a week of having excruciating pain when I walk because of my cyatic nerve and today it has gotten so bad that I am pushing myself around the house in my wheeled office chair like a crab so I don't have to walk at all, I am ready. I am sooooo ready. The pain is actually worse than the fear of labor at this point so I am ready. Can I tell you how thankful I am for our concrete floors? it is making this crab scoot much easier. One week to my due date.... lets hope my appointment tomorrow reveals the beginning of labor. PLEASE!

Baby is doing great. He is 7 lb 15 oz right now based on the sonogram measurements and looks healthy as can be. Breathing great, moving around like a maniac and has the cutest chubby cheeks. We are looking forward to seeing him OUTSIDE of my belly soon. Keep you posted.....
